The 2013 ED’s Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show
August 21, 2013, at the House of Blues, Las Vegas

It’s been dubbed as the “Oscars” of the adult nightclub industry, the crowning event of the Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners EXPO and an evening worthy of celebration. The Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show—known more frequently as the ED’s Awards—will return for its 16th straight year at the 2013 EXPO at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. This year, the House of Blues, located directly inside Mandalay Bay and boasting a national reputation as one of the nation’s best live music venues, will play host to the show.

The Annual ED’s Awards Show, presented by Anheuser-Busch and slated for August 21 from 8-11 pm, will honor the best-of-the-best in adult nightclubs, club staff and feature entertainment. The show will be hosted by hot up-and-coming comedian Adam Hunter, will feature special guest presenters, a brand new all-female “house” rock band Brazen and command performances by the nominees for ED’s Overall Entertainer of the Year Award.

Introducing your host, Adam Hunter!
A New York City native, Adam Hunter is one of the hottest young comedians today. Adam was a finalist on season 6 of “Last Comic Standing,” has appeared on Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show,” “Chelsea Lately,” ”The Late Late Show,” MTV, VH1, TruTV, CBS and Comedy Central. He is currently the host of the TV show “Man Up Stand Up” on MavTV” and has appeared on Showtime’s “Comic’s Unleashed” and “Loco Comedy Jam,” and appeared in sketches on “Conan O’Brien” and “Jimmy Kimmel.”

Limited seating, including VIP tables
For the first time ever, VIP seating is available for the ED’s Awards Show. Due to the intimate setting at the House of Blues Las Vegas, the ED’s Awards Show will be limited to only 650 guests. The upstairs portion of the House of Blues will feature theater seating ($69 tickets, if purchased before June 15), while the bottom floor will offer two tiers of VIP tables that are just a few feet away from stage at a cost of $1,500 per table (seating 10 guests) and $1,250 (seating eight guests). To secure your seat today (due to the limited seating, tickets cannot be not included with EXPO registration this year), please call the ED office today at (727) 726-3592.

Live rock ‘n’ roll with Brazen

Voted Best Local Live Performers at the Vegas Rocks Music Awards Show 2012, this quintet of power musicians plays an array of some of the coolest classic and modern rock tunes, with an energetic stage performance. Brazen is a Las Vegas fixture, as they’ve played with dozens of legendary rock musicians including Jimmy Page, Cheap Trick, Nancy Wilson, Neil Schon and Pat Travers, to name just a few. As the ED’s “house” band, they’ll be rocking the house throughout the entire show.

Due to popular demand: A shorter show!
In our post-EXPO 2012 survey, many attendees asked for a shorter, tighter Awards Show. And we’re delivering!  To make sure that the show remains a slim, trim two-hour presentation (9-11 pm), we’re moving a few of the awards to other events being held during the EXPO (the same way the Oscars hold an awards event prior to the main Oscar presentation).

During the Opening Night “Game Show” Party at the Vegas Hustler Club, the following “staff” awards will be presented: General Manager of the Year, DJ of the Year (a new ED award for 2013) and Club Employee of the Year.  And at the Closing Night “Specialty Acts Showcase” Party at Sapphire, the following “feature” awards will be presented: “Feature” Club of the Year, Adult Movie Feature Entertainer of the Year and Miss ExoticDancer.com.

Rock the House” at the ED’s!
In keeping with our 2013 ED’s Awards “Rock the House” theme, we encourage all Awards Show guests to unleash their inner rock god or goddess by dressing for the occasion. So leave the suit and tie at home—it’s time to rock out!

Get your tickets today before they sell out!  Or upgrade to a VIP table! But act fast! Buy online here or call (727) 726-3592.

2012 AWARDS SHOW RECAP

Gia Nova crowned EXOTIC DANCER’s 2012 Overall Entertainer of the Year;
Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami takes Overall Club of the Year honors

The 15th Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show (the ED’s Awards) was held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the Orleans Showroom in Las Vegas, during the 20th Annual “Reunion” Gentlemen’s Club Owners EXPO

Exotic Dancer (ED) Publications, producers of the ED Club Bulletin magazine, the Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners EXPO and the Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show, is pleased to announce the 2012 ED’s Awards Show winners. The 15th Annual Awards Show was hosted by popular comedian Pablo Francisco and was held at the Orleans Showroom inside the Orleans Casino in Las Vegas on Tuesday, August 28, 2012. The ED’s Awards Show is held each year during the Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners EXPO.

The evening’s biggest awards went to Gia Nova, who was crowned ED’s Overall Entertainer of the Year; Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami, who took home the Overall Club of the Year Award; Deja Vu Showgirls/Hustler Clubs, which garnered the prestigious Club Chain of the Year Award; and longtime Mons Venus of Tampa club owner and political activist Joe Redner, who was inducted into the EXOTIC DANCER Hall of Fame.

“Not only was this EXPO a momentous occasion as our 20th, but the ED’s Awards Show also hit a milestone in its 15th year,” says ED Publications’ Associate Publisher, Dave Manack.  “It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the multi-billion-dollar adult nightclub industry with its only national awards show for the past decade and a half, and we heartily congratulate all of this year’s ED’s award winners and nominees.  These honors are richly deserved!”

In addition to comedian Pablo Francisco’s presence, there were also several special guests at the 2012 ED’s Awards Show. “Ronnie the Limo Driver” of Howard Stern Show fame, who has become a regular at the ED’s Awards Show and Annual EXPO, entertained the Awards Show guests as special guest presenter with his genuine enthusiasm for the adult club industry.  Other guest presenters included several past ED’s Overall Entertainer of the Year and Adult Movie Entertainers of the Year winners and nominees, including Stormy Daniels, Nina Mercedez, Rachelle Laree, Christina Aguchi, Devon Michaels and Zoe Britton.

Award nominations were accepted online at TheEDawards.com for a three-week period in May/June 2012. Based primarily on these votes, as well as input from the ED staff, these award nominees appeared on the Final Awards Ballot (which was also featured online at TheEDAwards.com in July 2012).

2011 AWARD SHOW RECAP:

Christina Aguchi crowned EXOTIC DANCER’s 2011 Overall Entertainer of the Year, while Delilah’s Gentlemen’s Club in Philadelphia takes Overall Club of the Year honors

The 14th Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show (the ED’s Awards) was held on Tuesday, August 23, at The Mirage in Las Vegas, during the 19th Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners EXPO

Awards Show was crowning event of 19th Annual Gentlemen's Club EXPO at The Mirage in Las VegaExotic Dancer (ED) Publications, producers of the ED Club Bulletin magazine, the Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners EXPO and the Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show, is pleased to announce the 2011 ED’s Awards Show winners. The 14th Annual Awards Show & Reception—“A Black & White Bash”—was hosted by popular comedian Nick Di Paolo and was  held inside the Grand Ballroom at The Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Tuesday, August 23rd.  The ED's Awards Show is held each year during the Annual Gentlemen's Club Owners EXPO. The evening’s biggest awards went to Christina Aguchi, who was crowned ED’s Overall Entertainer of the Year; Delilah’s Gentlemen’s Club in Philadelphia, who took home the Overall Club of the Year Award; Rick’s Cabaret, which garnered the prestigious Club Chain of the Year Award; and longtime club executives Randy Beasley and Duke Dearing, who were inducted into the EXOTIC DANCER Hall of Fame.

“As the only national awards show for the multi-billion-dollar adult nightclub industry, it is a pleasure for us to continually honor the best adult nightclubs and feature entertainers from across the country,” says ED’s Publisher, Don Waitt.  “Our Awards Show guests really embraced our ‘Black & White Bash’ theme, and our host and comedian Nick Di Paolo certainly didn’t disappoint!”

In addition to Di Paolo’s presence, there were also several special guests at the 2011 ED’s Awards Show. National recording artist Jean Morisson joined the show’s “house” band, Vegas legends The Crashers, as she sang a rocking version of Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know,” while Grammy-winning guitarist Vernon Reid of Living Colour joined the band as they tore through the Jimi Hendrix classic, “Foxy Lady.”

“Ronnie the Limo Driver” of Howard Stern Show fame, who has become a regular at the ED’s Awards Show and Annual EXPO, fired the capacity crowd up as an awards show special guest presenter.  Other guest presenters included the gorgeous adult film starlets Nikki Benz, Alexis Texas, Teagan Presley and Devon Lee, along with award-winning feature entertainer Jade Simone St. Clair.

In addition to the awards typically presented each year, for the first time ever, the 2011 ED’s Awards Show celebrated the “small” club with the Small Club of the Year Awards (clubs under 5,000 square feet). “With so many great, multi-million-dollar clubs in this industry, it becomes harder and harder for the smaller clubs to stand out in the crowd,” says Waitt. “That’s why we felt that it was time we honor those clubs who, despite their smaller size, are no less successful or award-worthy. ”

The one new entertainer-related award for 2011 was the Miss ExoticDancer.com Award. Each feature entertainer who has been featured as Miss ExoticDancer.com of the month (which began in October 2010) was eligible to win.

Award nominations were accepted online at www.theEDawards.com for a two-week period in June/July. Based primarily on these votes, as well as input from the ED staff, these award nominees appeared on the Final Awards Ballot. QUOTES FROM 2011 ED'S AWARDS WINNERS

1aguchiiWinner1Christina Aguchi
2011 ED’s Overall Entertainer of the Year
“I just want to thank all of my fans, fellow features, club owners, A-List Features, Continental Agency, John Laforme (for supporting me and putting up with me) and EXOTIC DANCER for all of your love and support for all of these years! I was once told that there are hundreds of features out there; there are much fewer that can truly do this well, and out of that group, there are five [2011 ED’s Entertainer of the Year nominees] that are great at it. Being named ED’s 2011 Overall Entertainer of the Year is not only a title for me, but it is what I’ve strived to become.  It’s the highest award in the feature industry, and I thank you all.”
— Christina Aguchi, ED’s 2011 Overall Entertainer of the Year

2NinaMercedez1Nina Mercedez
 2011 ED’s Miss ExoticDancer.com  of the Year
"Thank you to my fans for voting and special thanks to Kevin and Jake at ExoticDancer.com for all their hard work!”
— Nina Mercedez, ED’s Miss ExoticDancer.com of the Year

4Katsuni1Katsuni
2011 ED’s Adult Movie Feature Entertainer of the Year
“You have no idea how honored I feel to receive this award. I have received many awards all over the world, but there was one I really wanted to get, and it’s this one. Feature dancing is a real career and also a huge pleasure to me. I enjoy it and need to be sure that my audience and the clubs do too! This award encourages me to do even better. I really want to thank Dave Michaels (A-List Features) and Frank Bane (Continental Agency) who do a great job!”
— Katsuni, ED’s Adult Movie Feature Entertainer of the Year

3JaydenCole1Jayden Cole
2011 ED’s Newcomer Feature Entertainer of the Year
“I’ve worked so hard feature dancing since I’ve started and really feel that I’ve found my place. Many thanks to ED, who’ve been there all along the way. I’m so honored to win this award, and I need to thank Dave Michaels at A-List, Frank Bane at Continental and Joann and Vicki at Travelsource, as well as all the clubs I’ve featured at who have welcomed me with open arms! I’m excited to show ‘em what I’ve got this year!”
— Jayden Cole, ED’s Newcomer Feature Entertainer of the Year

5KristyMorgan1Kristy Morgan
2011 ED’s Club Favorite Feature Entertainer of the Year
“When I won I was in complete shock, and wasn’t prepared at all. As I stood there at the podium I was speechless! But when I looked down and saw all the club owners that voted for me, clapping and smiling, to me, that was the best part.
Winning this award is the best one to win. I’ve only won one other thing in my life and that was the reality show on MTV [Tila Tequila’s “A Shot at Love II”].  Afterwards, I had to defend myself; it was a constant struggle. Winning ED’s Club Favorite Entertainer was something that didn’t need to be explained, because the award speaks for itself. It is nice to know my hard work is recognized by the most important people.”
— Kristy Morgan, ED’s Club Favorite Feature Entertainer of the Year
